2024 Hurricane Relief Fund
Hurricane Helene made landfall on September 26, 2024, and has left a path of destruction in it's wake across the Southeast. Just two weeks later, Hurricane Milton inflicted further damage on these vulnerable areas. Donations collected in this fund will be distributed between organizations providing life-saving relief and support to communities across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee:
1. World Central Kitchen is providing fresh water and warms meals to communities in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
2. The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina is actively disbursing funds to frontline nonprofits for critical immediate aid, and will be there for continuing recovery in the months ahead.
3. Best Friends Animal Society is working with rescue partners and shelters to establish pet resource sites with supplies and veterinarians, transportation of necessary items to more remote communities, and moving animals to shelters where they can be cared for.
4. All Hands and Hearts, a volunteer-powered relief organization, has deployed teams across Florida and North Carolina to assess damage to individual family homes, remove debris and clear hazardous trees to restore safety and access.
5. Community Foundation Tampa Bay supports Tampa Bay area nonprofits working on the front lines of Hurricanes Helene and Milton relief efforts. Money will be deployed to local nonprofits to address needs related to hurricane recovery.
We invite you to join us in supporting these organizations providing multi-state humanitarian relief.
