Announcing Community Impact Circles

We’re pleased to announce the Brighton Jones Richer Life Foundation’s new giving circle initiative called Community Impact Circles. The purpose of Community Impact Circles is to bring together individuals with similar impact goals so that they can learn, grow, and maximize their philanthropic interests.

Our first Community Impact Circle, launching in March 2020, will be focused on the Puget Sound Environment. Space is limited to 10 members, and we are currently recruiting the inaugural cohort. Our goal is to drive $100K toward Pacific Northwest environmental causes  by asking each member to commit to donating $10k to the organizations of their choice that we learn about over the course of the year.

Over a 12-month period the group, led by Brighton Jones’ philanthropic specialists, will learn how to drive impact (vetting nonprofits, strategic grantmaking, assessing giving methods), while exploring the local environmental conservation landscape (from field work to policy reform, and from microplastics to climate change). The group will meet 8 times for discussions with thought-leaders and for site visits. By the end of the cycle, members should have clarity and energy around their personal/family mission and impact-goals around environmental conservation.

If you’d like to learn more about Community Impact Circles, we’d love to speak with you.
