Humanitarian Aid for Syria & Turkey
In the days following the catastrophic earthquakes in February 2023, the Brighton Jones community came together to raise more than $45,000 for emergency aid across the region.
Your generosity supported the following three organizations:
Bridge to Turkey Fund - In partnership with the AHBAP Association, a trusted grassroots non-profit organization in Turkey, BTF administered life-saving aid, built temporary housing, and providing survivors immediate relief with hygiene kits, baby food, sleeping bags, and education resources. Read their latest report here.
The White Helmets - Also known as “Syria Civil Defense,” The White Helmets are a group of citizen volunteers known for running straight toward trouble to do the toughest search and rescue work. White Helmets volunteers saved almost 3,000 people from the destruction caused by the earthquake, and are now focused on rehabilitation. They are sponsored by Voices Project, a US-based nonprofit organization.
World Central Kitchen - With teams working in 14 different cities across the region, WCK teamed up with established community kitchens and local chefs. They distributed more than 20 million substantial, hot meals to families impacted by the devastation.
This is a complex disaster in a region already suffering from what the United Nations has deemed “catastrophic conditions”. The survivors of this devastation have a long road to recovery ahead, and we encourage you to continue to support these fantastic organizations.
Thank you for joining us in support of our global community,
Brighton Jones
